PPI with The Cat Stylist is highly personalized. Only one student is trained at a time, with all instruction tailored to the student's specific needs and goals.
PPI may include hands-on grooming of various cats, as well as instruction on any of the following suggested topics, or any other topic the student requests:
CFMG Certification/Training/Exam Prep
Lion Cuts and Cat Clipping Techniques
Cat Temperaments/Handling Skills
Handling Aggressive Felines
Building a Cat Grooming Business
Client Retention and Maximization
Bathing and Drying
Business Management
PPI is suitable for beginners, intermediate cat groomers, and highly experienced cat groomers (including CFMGs). No prior experience is required.
When reserving a day (or multiple days) for PPI training, students must provide their current skill level and grooming experience so that a customized training plan can be created. If necessary, I may schedule a brief 10-minute phone or Zoom call before finalizing the PPI schedule.
At the conclusion of the training period, a verbal and written assessment will be provided.
Single Day
Each student needs to have the following list of items for any hands-on training:
- Metal combs (for example CC Face/Feet comb, CC Cat Comb, CC Fine/Course Greyhound Comb)
- Nail trimmer appropriate for cats
- Clipper with #10 blades (5in1 preferred)
- Appropriate grooming attire
- Closed in shoes
All other necessary tools, equipment, cats to groom, and grooming products are provided by The Cat Stylist and use of such is included in the cost.
