Pick Up & Drop Off timesWe have set Pick up and Drop off times to minimise distractions during grooming. Our drop off times are 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. Our pick up times are 2 hours after drop off. If we finish your cat before the pick up time we may contact you to pick earlier.
-
How long will it take for you to groom my cat?We typically allow 3 hours per appointment time as this allows us to give cats a break in between grooming if needed. We strive to make every cat as comfortable as possible so grooming appointments can vary in time depending on each individual cat.
-
How should i bring my cat to the salon? We require cats to be contained in a carry crate. Please have a crate for each cat you bring in as some cats can behave unexpectedly towards each other after a groom as they can look and smell different.

I'm not sure if my cat can be groomedNot sure if your cat would be suitable for grooming? You can start with a nail trim which is short while you wait appointment and our Certified Feline Master Groomer will be able to assess your cats temperament and coat needs and can recommend styling that is best suited for your cat.

What are the benefits to having my cat professionally groomed? The main benefit is having a happier, healthier cat that does not suffer from any of the painful and potentially life-threatening problems. In addition, you will benefit as regular grooming cuts down on shedding, eliminates hairballs, reduces allergy problems, and helps promote a cleaner environment as well as a cleaner cat. And the best part is, you don’t have to do any of the grooming yourself! Leave that up to us!

My cat is matted, can you help?Removing mats can be painful for your cat and puts your groomer at a far greater risk of injury. Cats that are matted will be quoted additional fees during check-in based on the time required to safely remove them. A more accurate price can be provided once the groomer assesses your cat’s coat condition. Cats with certain medical or stress-related conditions may be referred to a veterinarian for a sedated groom or monitoring for your cat's safety. Mat removal fee starts at $40 on top of grooming cost and varies based on severity of matting and the services required. For cats needing a Lion Trim for severe mat removal, pricing is $350.00 for the initial appointment and includes a complimentary follow up Deluxe Bath and Blow Dry within 8 weeks. This is to help promote healthy hair growth, trim nails to an appropriate length and to discuss future grooming schedule and service recommendations that will prevent mats from returning and to keep your cat in the best shape possible.
-
Can you groom my cat if they are aggressive? If your cat has show aggression previously during grooming or vet visits, we suggest contacting your veterinarian for calming medication before their first grooming appointment. We can not take highly aggressive cats in our salon but are happy to assess your cat's temperament with a nail only appointment first. We reserve the right to stop a groom at any stage where we feel there is danger to us or your cat.
-
How often should my cat be groomed? Most cats need to be professionally groomed every 8 weeks or less but this will vary with each individual cat. After the first appointment The Cat Stylist will recommend a grooming schedule that would be best for your cat.

Do cats like getting a bath?Contrary to popular belief, most cats do not mind being bathed. In fact, many are very calm during the bathing process and seem to find it relaxing. We use special techniques to introduce a cat to the bathing process each time, until we can see that they are used to it. We know from experience that cat owners report they have a very happy cat after it returns home from a day at the spa. See our social media pages for videos of our grooming process. Lots of videos on your instagram profile.

What are Soft Paws Nail Caps?Soft Paws are completely safe and humane and can be used on cats of all ages. Soft Paws are vinyl nail caps that are glued on to your cat’s existing nails. They look like a cat’s nail, only hollow. As they do not affect the cats being able to use their nails, they tolerate them extremely well.
